Across the Atlantic
but first we had to simplify
Simplify, but how?
I remember looking at all the different kinds of drinking glasses we had. Glasses for all occassions, but not at all that many occassions to use them.
By the time this picture was taken we had already done some serious downsizing and were preparing our cross atlantic move. We had left a country side house, with a large garden and replaced it with a modern and centrally situated apartment, half the size and one car shorter. The plan was to lower our monthly living costs and to commute more, having more service and commodities closer at hand.
This first step from country side to city, was also necessary since our summer home (future forever home now) in Chile was being built and we needed the financial bones to back it up and to get used to an even smaller living space, half the size of our apartment.
